Business Model Canvas For Mapping The Islamic Financial Inclusion

Purpose – This case study focuses on online gold transactions at Bank Syariah Indonesia. The study aims to map and evaluate the digital gold transaction business model at Bank Syariah Indonesia. This analysis is expected to provide a service that creates value, delivers value, and captures value within a structured business framework that supports the development of the Islamic economy.
Design/Methodology/Approach – The methodology employed is Business Model Canvas (BMC) mapping to provide a comprehensive overview of the structure and mechanisms of the business model of the digital gold transaction service offered by Bank Syariah Indonesia. The BMC is a strategic tool used to identify nine key elements, including customer segments, value propositions, channels, customer relationships, revenue streams, key resources, key activities, key partnerships, and cost structure.
Findings – The results obtained compare the initial BMC with the proposed BMC to demonstrate a shift from a transactional business model to a more comprehensive Islamic digital ecosystem business model.
Originality- The initial BMC serves as the basis for services, while the proposed BMC offers a more strategic development direction to increase competitiveness, customer satisfaction, and the added value of the sharia economy in a sustainable manner.
